Weight Gaining Diet

by Lee

Do you need a weight gaining diet? You can mix up your favorite homemade protein shakes based on milk, lots of powdered milk, and a banana. These basics allow the average trainee to enjoy all the benefits of commercial protein supplements at budget prices.

Building on this basic foundation, bodybuilding folklore tells of trainees putting all manner of ingredients into their blenders. Writing in Super Squats, Randall J. Strossen tells how trainees would create high-octane concoctions including everything from pineapple, peaches and peanut butter; to eggs, soy flour and even tuna!

How effective were these weight gaining shakes?

These "blender bombs" were rumored to pack muscle on a grasshopper.
